City of Yuma, Colorado 2nd Avenue Improvement Project

This project enhanced traffic safety, storm drainage and sanitary sewer system capacity for the City of Yuma. The total budget for the project was just under $1,000,000.

Features of this project included the redesign of 2nd Avenue to convert the existing road template from an inverted "V" to a normally crowned roadway. Components of the project included 1,320 feet of 38” X 60” Eliptical Reinforced Concrete Pipe Storm Sewer, 2,414 feet of 21” Sanitary Sewer Pipe, 11 manholes, road base, asphalt street surfacing, various curb and gutter replacements and utility relocations. This project was completed successfully in 2004.
